Mayaguana, Bahamas. The living room. The most easterly island of The Bahamas, Mayaguana still has its original Indian name, arawak for nobody is sure what, or lucayen for something related to iguana. It's often considered as the least developped, most remote familly island of the Bahamas, however, this might change as significant resort projects are underway. Untill the time comes when tourists swamp the island, it is pretty much pristine. Whatever you might read about the island, my experience has been fantastic, I was welcomed and had a great time with the locals.
